Rates are progressive, so each block of credits is charged at its own rate and the figure in brackets is what you actually pay per 1,000. Pay as you go starts at 20K and then runs in 50K steps to 50M; subscriptions run from 50K to 2M. Need more than 50M in one purchase?

More than 5 req/s

Higher throughput runs on dedicated capacity, from $2,000/mo, so it is set up with us rather than bought in one click. Provisioned in 2 to 5 business days. Custom terms, an SLA or a plan built around your usage go the same way.

Questions

What is the difference between a subscription and pay as you go?

A subscription gives you a credit balance every month at the lowest rate, and it resets at each renewal — unused credits do not carry over. Pay as you go is a single purchase with no subscription: you pay more per credit, and the credits stay valid for 12 months.

Do unused credits carry over to the next month?

Subscription credits do not: each renewal replaces your balance with a fresh one. Pay-as-you-go credits are the ones that last, for 12 months from the day you buy them, and each purchase carries its own date, so a later one never extends an earlier one.

Can I buy credits without subscribing?

Yes. Pay as you go is a one-time purchase and needs no subscription at all, from $30 for 20K credits, with no card kept on file. You can also buy credits on top of a subscription when a month runs heavier than usual, and the two balances simply add up.

If I have both, which credits are spent first?

Your subscription credits, then your pay-as-you-go credits, soonest expiry first. It is automatic, there is no setting, and it is also the order that wastes the least: subscription credits are replaced at your next renewal, and the purchase closest to its date is the one with the least time left to spend.

Does buying credits raise my rate limit?

No. Every self-serve option runs at the same 5 requests per second, whether you subscribe or pay as you go, and buying more credits never changes it. Higher throughput is dedicated capacity, from $2,000 a month, arranged with us.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Calls stop with a clear error instead of running up a bill: there is no overage and no automatic charge. You add credits, or change your plan, and the next call works.

Are purchased credits refundable?

No. Credits are prepaid and non-refundable once purchased, which is why the smallest purchase is 20K credits for $30 rather than something larger. If you are unsure of your volume, start there, or with the 1,000 free credits, and measure before you commit. A subscription can be cancelled at any time and stops at the end of the period it is paid for.

What a credit buys

On the endpoints below, one call is one credit — all but post engagement, which costs two because it does the work of two, and a profile with fullProfile=true, which costs two because it reads an extra page. Checking your balance costs nothing, and neither do invalid parameters, rate limiting or a failure on our side. A not-found costs one credit, because confirming an absence takes more work than returning a record, not less.
